MEET OUR TEAM
TATTOO PERT
Meet Pert (left), the owner of The Inkcastle Tattoo Studio. With over 40 years of experience, Pert is a true veteran of the tattoo industry. Over the decades, he has mastered every style imaginable, but his passion lies in creating vibrant old-school colour tattoos. Unlike many, Pert genuinely loves going to work. He finds joy in every tattoo session and is always happiest with a tattoo machine in hand, crafting cool and unique tattoos for his clients. His dedication and love for the art shine through in every piece he creates.
TATTOO JACK
Meet Jack (right), Pert's son and a dedicated artist at The Inkcastle Tattoo Studio. Growing up immersed in the tattoo world, Jack has been fascinated by the art form since childhood. He started working alongside his father over 20 years ago, beginning his apprenticeship under Pert's expert guidance just days after leaving school.
Jack's deep-rooted passion for tattoos shines through in his work and he loves the dynamic and unpredictable nature of the job. As Jack puts it, "I love working here; you never know who you're going to meet or what you're going to be asked to tattoo!". His enthusiasm and skill make him a beloved member of The Inkcastle team, always ready to create unique and meaningful tattoos for each client.
BODY PIERCER CATBOY
Catboy is an expert body piercer, bringing over two decades of experience to The Inkcastle Tattoo Studio. He began his piercing career during his first stint with us and returned in November 2021 to rejoin our team. Since then, Catboy has been providing exceptional piercing services six days a week.
With a wealth of knowledge about all things piercing, Catboy thrives on the variety and uniqueness each client brings. He particularly enjoys the challenge of creating unique piercings that stand out. As Catboy says, "If I can pinch it, I can pierce it!". His passion and expertise make him a valued member of The Inkcastle crew, always ready to deliver top-notch piercing experiences.
STUDIO ASSISTANT JACK
Last, but certainly not least, is our dedicated studio assistant, Jack, affectionately known as "Young Jack" to avoid any confusion. Joining The Inkcastle Tattoo Studio in 2020, Jack has been working tirelessly ever since.
Jack plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the studio. He's always available to assist clients with design queries, ideas and appointments, ensuring everyone feels welcome and supported.
Additionally, Jack takes care of our artists, making sure they have everything they need to create their masterpieces, and he makes a mean cuppa!
Jack is the son of Catboy, our skilled body piercer and Catboy is married to Pert's niece, making The Inkcastle Tattoo Studio very much a family business. We pride ourselves on this close-knit, supportive environment and Jack is a key part of what makes our studio special.
